I have visited this hotel privately and have recently brought a group of 65 distinguished physicians and surgeons - we took the whole hotel for a 4 day conference. I have been organising such meetings in 4 star hotels for over 25 years and can say with confidence that this is a superb hotel offering excellent value.
The hard working staff are exceptionally welcoming and friendly and the kitchen is one of the most responsive and best that I have encountered - the restaurant is run in an extraordinarily friendly and efficient manner.
Garden Rooms
The property of Castell d'Empordà measures about 30 acres, including olive groves and oak woods. On the lower part of this ample garden, at the east side of the castle, a complete new wing was architectonically integrated into the old defensive wall. This part of our hotel houses the Garden Rooms that merge modern comfort with classic elements and a natural touch. The oak floors and the colours used refer to the world outside. Most of our Garden Rooms have private balconies to enjoy the beautiful sunset. To reach the terraces and the swimming pool on castle level there is an elevator to take you up.
