NAPOLEON ROOM
This room is completely dedicated to the battle of Waterloo; with prints, pictures, maps and an 18 sq. m battle scene of Napoleon“s defeat al "La belle alliance". The model has 2000 soldiers and about 500 horses, all of them hand painted. It is possibly the biggest model of the battle of Waterloo in the world.
Why? Current owner Albert Diks' Great grandfather was a veteran of Napoleons grand army and kept a diary about his adventures with the emperor. This inspired Albert to build the model that took 20 years to complete.
